Saturday Sweets provides weekly pastry boxes to pastry lovers in the Minneapolis/St.Paul and surrounding areas. We use premium and organic ingredients when available, making us stand out from traditional bakeries. Although all of our pastries are gluten free, they are created so no one would never know. Therefore, our pastries are for everyone!!
Each Sunday the pastry box’s menu is posted on the Saturday Sweets’ website and then on its instagram account (@saturdaysweetsonly). That Sunday's pastry box menu will be available for pre-order and pick-up the following Saturday. There are a set amount of boxes made available each week. Pre-orders open on Sunday nights and end on Wednesday afternoons. Once you’ve purchased your pastry box, you’ll be given a location in Minneapolis and timeframe in which to pick up your box on that Saturday.
Each box contains four seasonal pastry items, of two different varieties (e.g. two crumble bars and two mini honey lavender cakes). No box contains just one of the same pastry variety (e.g. you would not receive a box of 4 brownies). Since boxes are seasonal they do not repeat often. So if there are flavors that you love, get them while you can!!!

FOR ORDERS UNDER $100. Unfortunately delivery is not available at this time. Therefore, Saturday Sweets cannot make any special arrangements if you cannot pick up your box during the applicable time or designated location. Therefore, we ask all customers to MAKE SURE YOU (OR A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER) ARE AVAILABLE DURING THE DESIGNATED TIME TO PICK UP YOUR BOX. Boxes that are not picked up will be considered relinquished.
-Saturday Sweets does it accept custom orders at this time.
-The number of different pastry types and amount of boxes available for pre-order each week is subject to change based on complexity of the pastry; time; scheduled vacations; or unforeseen complications.
-Pastry boxes range from $27.00-$29.00 with increased pricing during the holidays. Prices vary based on ingredients. Saturday Sweets Bakery reserves the right to change its standard and holiday pricing at anytime without prior notice.

I'm the mastermind behind Saturday Sweets.😆 I was also a CEO of my state's largest pro bono law firm, and practicing attorney for many years, so I never imagined I’d one day open a bakery. But life always has a way of taking us to unexpected places (even if we're kicking and screaming-which in this case I was NOT!!).
I’ve been a home baker for a VERY long time and dessert eater. When I developed a severe gluten allergy late in life, my ability to bake the foods I loved suddenly disappeared. I had two choices: give up a cherished source of creativity and stress relief, or teach myself an entirely new way to bake. I chose the latter.
Let me tell you, it was a much harder and far more frustrating path than I expected! I had years of failure (so bad that my Westie Finni, and Labrador Henri, wouldn't eat any of my bakes!!). But I was determined! As I was learning, I also purchased gluten-free baked goods from bakeries and grocery stores. Grocery store options were usually just “okay to terrible.” However, many gluten-free bakeries in my city were very good. But I noticed their offerings often centered on the same limited selection. The very simple and complex, as well as innovative pastries I truly missed were rarely available. I wanted the plethora of what baking had to offer. When I also discovered that most bakeries relied heavily on box mixes, I found myself visiting them less and less.
Then I started wondering. Surely, I can’t be the only person looking for gluten-free desserts made with premium and organic ingredients that I can pronounce, with the variety and quality of a high end bakery or restaurant? So I decided to put that statement to the test with one caveat...
Saturday Sweets isn't about providing the best gluten free pastry. It was about providing THE BEST pastry.
That was how Saturday Sweets was born!
