Summer pastry flavors you can't find anywhere else continue with this week's pastry box. First it starts with my Strawberry Blanc Cookies. It's a delicate, buttery cookie with white chocolate chips and little bursts of sweet, tart strawberry tucked into every bite. Soft and tender in the center with just the right amount of chew, Strawberry Blanc is the kind of cookie that makes you pause after the first bite and then wonder how many more are left in the box. The second item in this week's box is my Orange and Fig Crumble Bars, a signature of Saturday Sweets. It has a delicate yet sturdy butter and oat base and topping, with a filling of bitter-sweet chocolate on a bed of orange and fig preserves. This flavor combination has been described as "incredible," when tested. The bar was even described as "fun." I assure you, once you take a bite out of this you'll wonder how you can get your hands on more.
